Day 1: Arrive Cochin "
Welcome to Cochin! Transfer to your hotel where you will experience Indian hospitality as you are accorded a traditional welcome and greeted with garlands and an ‘aarti’ ceremony. Cochin or Kochi has long been eulogised as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea.’ It boasts of one of the finest natural harbours in the world and is one of the most visited Kerala Backwater destinations. In the evening, you have the option of participating in a ‘Kerala Theme Dinner’.
Day 2: Cochin "
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Cochin, where you will visit the oldest Jewish Synagogue in India and the Dutch Palace (both closed on Friday and Saturday). See the Chinese fishing nets lining the entrance to the harbour mouth, presenting a spectacular sight of Cochin’s waterfront. For a very special experience tonight, you have the option of participating in the ‘Moonlight Symphony Dinner Cruise’ as you sail the Cochin harbour.
Day 3: Cochin • Kumarakom "
Following breakfast, drive to Kumarakom where you will be accorded a traditional welcome at your hotel. Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, a virtual paradise with emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Indulge yourself with rejuvenating massages at the ayurvedic spa in your resort. In the evening, we recommend you enjoy the rural festivities in a ‘Chakara Theme Dinner’.
Day 4: Kumarakom "
After breakfast, enjoy the peace and tranquillity as you embark on a leisurely exploration of the Kerala backwaters in a Kettuvallom (houseboat) passing by palm fringed canals, lakes and villages. In the evening, you have the option of experiencing the gaiety of a ‘Kerala Street Theme Dinner’.
Day 5: Kumarakom • Cochin "
